Ducati’s urban micro-mobility line is enriched with the arrival of the SCR-X and SCR-E GT, two new Scrambler Ducati folding e-bikes developed by Platum, an MT Distribution brand, with the support of the Centro Stile Ducati. Italian R&D, engineering and distribution hub Platum – the Platform of Urban E-Mobility – came about in January 2022 with an ambitious vision: to shape the future of urban electric mobility.

The two new models in the Ducati Urban e-mobility line are identified by an upgraded 48V engine, perfect for tackling the streets of one’s own city and beyond in a nimble and sustainable way, enjoying free time in the open air and sharing moments of joy and fun in full Scrambler Ducati style. The SCR-X folding e-bike is ideal for more urban settings. It is equipped with 20” x 4.0″ urban wheels, a suspension fork and a practical integrated rear rack that supports a load of up to 25kg. The battery is 499Wh and can guarantee a range of up to 80 km with a full charge, at a maximum speed of 25 km/h.

The SCR-E GT has been designed for those who love adventure and out-of-town trips. Thanks to the off-road wheels, also measuring 20” x 4.0”, and the full-suspension support provided by the front suspension fork and the central shock absorber, the SCR-E GT is designed to tackle different terrains such as the sand of the beaches or unpaved country roads. This model is powered by a 614 Wh battery which, when fully charged, also allows it to cover up to 80 km.

The two versions are powered by an upgraded 48V Bafang rear motor, capable of delivering 60Nm of transmission torque. Both are equipped with fat wheels, which make the vehicles more stable and easier to control, and front and rear hydraulic disc brakes with cut-off sensor for an effective and safe braking experience. SCR-X and SCR-E GT are characterized by having an aluminium frame that can be easily folded in a few simple moves, ideal for practical transport. The batteries are well protected and integrated into the frame, easily removable to make charging more convenient.

Both models are equipped with a 7-speed Shimano Tourney gearbox and the latest generation control unit, which through energy efficiency prolongs the life of the battery while avoiding energy waste. The waterproof LCD display allows you to conveniently manage the main functions such as e-bike ignition, activating the lights and selecting between the various levels of assistance. The SCR-X and SCR-E GT will be available from mid-July at Ducati dealerships, as well as in shops and the main online stores of consumer and specialized electronics.
