Aus „Wenn sie tanzt“ wird „When she dances“
Zum Start der neuen „Sing meinen Song“-Staffel und am Abend von Max Giesinger gibt es gleich so einige Überraschungen. Für eine davon sorgt Gastgeber Michael Patrick Kelly. Als einziger Künstler singt er einen Max-Giesinger-Hit auf Englisch, nämlich „Wenn sie tanzt“. Ein Song, mit dem Max seiner Mutter dankt. „Einen Song für die Mutter, muss ich auch in meiner Muttersprache singen", findet der Michael Patrick. Und damit gelingt ihm das, wofür er beim Tauschkonzert bekannt ist: Er macht „When she dances" zu einem „Paddy-Song", bei es die „Sing meinen Song"-Stars kaum auf ihren Plätzen hält. 2016 hat Max Giesinger den Song veröffentlicht und sich damit in unzählige Herzen gesungen. Gewidmet hat er „Wenn sie tanzt" aber nur einer einzigen Person: seiner Mama. Für Max Giesinger hat dieser Song also eine sehr tiefe und persönliche Bedeutung. Die überträgt sich auch in der neuen Version von Michael Patrick Kelly. „Was hast denn du aus der Nummer gemacht? Das ist ja fantastisch!“, jubelt Max Giesinger nach dem Auftritt. Für ihn hat der Gastgeber eine „unfassbar geile Version“ seines Hits abgeliefert und ist sich sicher: „das ist Chef-Level."
